Your adventure trip starts at Skarvruets Mountain Lodge, up in the secluded highlands of Härjedalen, close to border between Sweden and Norway.
Skarvruet lies close to the Norwegian border and only app. 65km away from Røros, which has good flight connections to Oslo. International direct flights are available to Værnes, (Trondheim) and Östersund. National flight connections are available to the airports of Sveg and Östersund.
Skarvruet has its own bus station, which gets reach on order. You may use the App of the local bus company “Länstrafiken” to plan your journey and you should talk to the driver when you get on the bus.
Furthermore, the so called “Härjedalingen” bus line goes from Stockholm and/or Östersund to the nearby Funäsdalen and at some times to Tänndalen.
You may take the “inlandsbanan” to reach the station in Sveg or you could book your ride with the SJ (Swedish railway) to take the overnight train from Stockholm.
The closest train station however, lies in Røros / Norway.
